Contact impossible due to technical reasons
Problem:
Clicking on a contact button linked to an email address you get an error message telling you that the required EXE file of the email programme, e.g. Netscape, is not available.
Solution 1:
1. Using the search function of Windows Explorer,
check the location of the required EXE file on your PC and note the whole path.
(If Netscape is not installed, download it free of charge from www.netscape.com and install it on your PC.
During the installation you will be asked if you want to use Netscape as your
standard browser. If you do not, just give a negative answer.)
2. Follow the instructions given by the error message
to tell verbalissimo the location of the required EXE file.
(You will then never more be prompted for this location.)
Solution 2:
1. Go to our Contacts page, select our email address, and copy it to the clipboard using Ctrl+C.
2. Launch your usual email programme and using Ctrl+V paste our email address wherever required by your programme.
No vertical scrollbar
Problem:
Although the page is longer than the screen, there is no vertical scrollbar on the right side of the screen. How to browse vertically in this case?
Solution:
This problem only sometimes occurs with a reduced screen resolution (e.g. 800 x 600) and can easily be got round. Just use the screen-up, screen-down or line-up, line-down key of your keybord.
Page not found
Problem:
When you click on a certain link, you get an error message telling you that the desired page cannot be found.
Solution:
Click on the “Previous page” button of your browser and put the mouse on the erroneous link without clicking on it. Consequently the Web address of the link will be displayed at the top or the bottom of the page, depending on your browser. Then there will be two possible cases:
First case:
If the address displayed contains at least one backslash ("\"), you are very likely to use a too old version of your browser, which is not able to automatically transform Windows-like paths into Web paths. To solve your problem, go to the browser owner’s Web pages, download a more recent version of the browser, install it on your computer, and the problem will be solved.
Second case:
If the address displayed only contains normal slashes („/“), we are very likely to have created an erroneous link. Ourselves and all the other Web surfers would really appreciate your error message, which would enable us to fix the problem. Please indicate the source page as well as the target page of the link. Thank you so much!
