Original Text / Translation

Every leaf contains the name of the victim of holocaust. Thus there is nothing to be translated, and there are too many leaves to enumerate all the names written on them.

Comment

In front of so many victims of an inhuman barbarity, silence should be required. But we are not allowed to be silent because we must transmit as much information as possible to our descendants in order to prevent legends from being created by those who do not want to understand what happened in the past. Therefore:

CAUTION, OPEN BUILDING AREA!
If you can help us write better and more detailed comments to this monument, please tell us. Thank you so much in advance!

Arrival by Public Transport

For the arrival in Budapest see Inscriptions of Budapest.

For the arrival at the Main Synagogue, see Inscriptions of the Main Synagogue of Budapest.

To go to the main synagogue, exit the subway at Deák tér or at Astoria (the latter is nearer to the synagogue) and take Károly körut till Dohány út. As soon as you arrive there, you will see the magnificent synagogue, whose turets are higher than the surrounding buildings.

Indications concerning public transports correspond to our personal knowledge or even experience, but we cannot assume any responsibility for their rightness. When you are reading this page, things may have changed in reality.
